The Eggerberg is located in the Stubai Alps in the touring area of Obernberg am Brenner. A beautiful tour across meadows and through sparse forests in the Obernberg Valley. This ski tour is most beautiful after fresh snowfalls. There is a great view from the summit of the numerous surrounding tour destinations in the Brenner area. Other ascent routes also lead from Nösslach to the summit.
Route:
We start cross the bridge directly opposite the church and diagonally across farmers' meadows uphill. Shortly after, straight through a wide clearing towards north-west to the edge of the forest. We continue briefly through a section of forest to the next open meadows. We switch slightly northwards to a farm, and to the left of it again towards north-west to the forest edge. Through somewhat denser forest, crossing a forest road twice, always in the north-western direction.
Later, flatter through a sparse forest into the expansive bowl beneath the Eggerberg (2280 m) itselft. In this bowl, briefly towards Eggerjoch and in a wide right curve around the steeper part of the face. In the end a steeper bit to the summit of Egger Berg.
Downhill:
Same as the way up.
