Route:

The tour begins with a steep climb along the summer trail, ascending through the west-facing slopes to reach the Innere Ölgrube. There are some steep sections along the way so consider the avalanche conditions as you ascend.

From there, we continue along the valley floor, passing the tongue of the Hinterer Ölgrubenferner (glacier).

At the Ölgrubenjoch, our destination reveals its glaciated face.. We push on to the ski depot at 3,200 meters and make the final ascent to the summit from the east — depending on conditions, over snow or rocky terrain.
