An easy round around the river Inn in doable all year round.
Starting point: Geierwand Klettersteig Parking
Ending point: Geierwand Klettersteig Parking
Length: 7.5km
Vertical: 100m
Speed: Easy runnable trails and forest roads.
Route:
We start from the parking lot heading upstream on the north side of the river. Passing the wild river rafting centre in Magerbach, we run out of the village and soon get to a really nice single track copying the bank of the river called Bojenweg. We follow this trail until its end, eventually connecting to the road heading into the village of Schlierenzau.
We run through the village down to the river and cross the pedestrian bridge to the other side. At this point the trail turns east and we start heading back towards where we started.
We follow a forest road by the river to a hamlet of Riedern. Here we enter a small forest area called Umholer Höhe. It has a large trail system and many options to get across. You can pick your own adventure here (or follow the GPS track) getting across to the other side.
Once across, we need to navigate through the village of Haiming and get to the road bridge leading us back towards our parking lot.
