Starting point: Ochsenalm Parking shortly before Maria Waldrast
Ending point: Ochsenalm Parking shortly before Maria Waldrast
Ascend:
1000vm / 2.5h
Exposition:
South/South-East on the interesting parts, North/North-east through the valley

The Lämpermahdspitze, is somewhat unjustly overshadowed by the Serles close-by, as one will discover on a ski tour to its summit. A magnificent and long summit slope that, however, requires safe conditions. The last meters lead very steeply to the ridge and onto the summit. A beautiful panoramic view from the small summit plateau with a nice summit cross, and after the descent, the Matreier Ochsenalm offers a great opportunity for a stop!

Route:
From the toll road, head southwest to the Matreier Ochsenalm and over open areas, later through sparse forest to the valley floor. The following short steep section, covered with pines and larches, is best overcome on the left, near the rock faces of the Peilspitze (about 100 vertical meters). Continue flat through the Matreier Grube until just before the Kalbenjoch (2225 m). Here, turn northwest and ascend over the massive steep slope of the Lämpermahdspitze. Just before the south ridge, a steep narrow passage with a distinctive rock block in the middle awaits, which is best bypassed on the left. Finally, not too difficult to the small summit cross.

Descend:

In the upper part, as with the ascent. From the Matreier Grube over the short steep section into the flat valley basin, it is best to keep quite to the left - a short steep gully through a belt of pines.

Pro tip: In good conditions, there is a possible extension for second skiing slope in the direction of the summit of Ober der Mauer.
